Bone and Joint Health

Bone is a living tissue made up of protein matrix that are strengthened by calcium and phosphorus. A joint is a connection between two bones. Smooth tissue called cartilage and a lubricant called synovial fluid cushion the joints so bones do not rub together. Several factors impact the quality of bones such as Vitamin D, calcium deficiency, age, physical exertion, etc. resulting in fractures, osteoporosis, arthritis and other bone problems. Keeping your weight in check, getting enough exercise and eating a diet rich in Vitamin D, K and calcium ensure that your bone and joints stay healthy and active even as you age.
