Gastro Intestinal Disorders

The Gastro Intestinal (GI) Tract begins from our mouth from where we ingest food and ends at the anus from where the undigested food is expelled. It consists of the esophagus, small intestine, large intestine, stomach and supportive organs for digestion called the liver, gall bladder and pancreas. Gastro Intestinal disease refers to diseases involving the GI tract. GI disorders include bloating, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), diarrhea, heartburn, reflux, constipation, nausea and others; like, Celiac disease and Crohn’s disease. It is important to eat right as most of these disorders can be combatted through nutrition and incorporating foods that promote a happy gut health.
