Dr. Anuja Mulay says anything in excess is bad and anything in moderation is good and hence suggest that be it ghee or oil, moderate quantities is fine. Dr. Anuja Mulay says that oily, overcooked, deep fried food should be avoided and anything that is available in the environment is good for health and should be consumed like vegetables, fruits, etc.
We asked her if one should avoid sweets during a running heart problem, to which she says that sweets are not recommended in order to avoid weight gain and control cholesterol levels that may increase due to the amount of ghee present in the Indian sweets.
