Diabetes occurs when our body is unable to transport sugar from blood to cells and convert it into energy. Consistent high sugar levels prove to be dangerous for our body organs.

4. Drumstick or moringa leavesmoringa

5. Amlaamla

Amla is rich in Vitamin C and promotes pancreatic health. You can consume amla juice with water every morning to manage sugar levels. Mixing amla juice with karela juice can give even better results.

6. Mango leavesmango leaves

Sun-dried mango leaves can be made into a powder and can be consumed 1 spoon every morning and night. You can also soak 12-15 mango leaves in water overnight and drink the filtered water in the morning on empty stomach. Mango leaves are rich in Vitamin C, A, and tannins that help in controlling diabetes.

7. Aloe VeraAloe vera

Consuming aloe vera in the form of juice, or having gel in combination with bay leaves and turmeric is another effective home remedy for maintaining blood sugar, especially in Type-2 diabetics. It works wonders on fasting sugar levels.

8. Basil (Tulsi)tulsi

Tulsi is found in all households and is a great anti-glycemic agent. It has anti-oxidants and essential oils to promote insulin functionality. You can have 2-3 whole basil leaves or its paste on empty stomach every morning to lower your sugar levels.

9. Flax seeds (Alsi)flaxseeds

Rich in fiber, alsi or flax seeds can reduce insulin resistance remarkably and promote health with its anti-oxidant properties. You can take 1 spoon of flax seeds on an empty stomach with warm water every morning.

10. Neemneem

Neem has immense health benefits. It is known for its ability to reduce the dependency on medicines for controlling diabetes. It can be consumed directly as leaves or can be made in juice.

11. Exercise

Mandukasana

Including 1 hour brisk walk daily in your routine can help in keeping your glycemic levels in control. You can also include yoga to your routine, especially, which puts direct pressure on your pancreas to help revitalize it.
